Custom-made goods & returns

Draft — this text has not yet been checked by someone who knows Swedish consumer law. It is not final and may change.

The short version

When you buy online in the EU, you can usually change your mind within 14 days. That right doesn’t apply to Forma cabinets, because every cabinet is made to your own specifications and measurements. We tell you this before you confirm, and confirming the quote means you accept it.

Why

The exemption comes from the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (lagen om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler, chapter 2, section 11, point 3) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, article 16(c)). A cabinet cut to your exact measurements can’t be resold to someone else.

What this means for you

  • Before you confirm: you can decline or ignore the quote at no cost.
  • After you confirm, before production has started: you can cancel by emailing info@formacustom.com. We charge a cancellation fee of 15 % of the quote price to cover design review, the visualisation and planning. Any amount you have paid above that is refunded within 14 days.
  • After production has started: the order can no longer be cancelled, since the cabinet is made only for you.

Your rights for faulty goods stay the same

If something is wrong with your cabinet, you can complain under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen) — within 3 years of delivery. On top of that, if a part arrives damaged or doesn’t fit, we remake it at no cost. See sections 7–10 of our Terms.
